About Us

Who We Are

The main goal of the Colorado Allergy and Asthma Society has been to support a collegiate and academic environment between board certified allergy/immunologists working in academia as well as in private practice. We meet 7 times per year to hear lectures on a range of important healthcare topics specific to the practice and interest of allergists, immunologists and other healthcare professionals working in the asthma and allergy specialty. CAAS often has speakers discuss issues in the larger healthcare arena such as practice management and patient communication topics. Our speakers travel from around the country to participate in our proud and popular allergy society.

Our Members include those completing the training requirements as specified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology or acceptance for examination by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.  As such, these physicians have initial residency training in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics, followed by sub-specialty fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology.

Associate membership consists of allied health professionals such as Licensed Practical Nurses (L.P.N.), Registered Nurses (R.N.), Nurse Practitioners (N.P.) or Physician Assistants (P.A.) who are employed or supervised by a physician who is an active member of the Colorado Allergy and Asthma Society; and individuals employed in the field of Allergy and Immunology, or individuals interested in the advancement of matters pertaining to the discipline and science of Allergy and Immunology.
